Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI)
What is Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI)?
A Pre-Shipment Inspection is a systematic inspection of units selected randomly from all batches of your order, conducted when your production is at least 80% complete (Usually 100% produced, 80% packaged; ratio can be adjusted according to customer needs). This is your final opportunity to take corrective action or reworked before shipment. It is a most effective inspection that confirms the whole product quality level for shipment at that time. It normally requires the production to be finished and at least 80% of goods to be packed into cartons. It can let you take no risks with your order, and ensure the product can meet your all specifications before you settle final payment.
What do we do at Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI)?
A Pre-shipment Inspection is basically an acceptance sampling inspection performed when goods are at least 80% completed, packed and ready for shipment. Our inspectors randomly select samples from finished goods, according to an inspection level requested in accordance with international statistical standards known as MIL-STD-105E (ISO2859-1), and then go to inspection product packaging, shipment quantities, function, product labeling, carbon markings and any other areas of concern
For PSI, what we mainly inspect includes but not limited to the following aspects:
•Quantity available
•Style & color
•Workmanship (general appearance)
•Functions & safety (such like sharp point, & sharp edge)
•Size specification, if required, including carton measurement.
•Product Labeling
•Package details
•Carton & package barcodes
•Shipping mark
